Heritage Hands

DSC_5280.jpgEstablished in 1998 to support traditional hand- crafts productions, such as alsadu, alsaaf, alnakda, bishit, almadoud, quem, needlework, spinning and textile. The program plays a very special role in the mission of the Social Development Center. With its activities taking place usually at the Heritage House in Alrmaylah Park.

IMG_7997.jpgThe Heritage House has been equipped with necessary tools, material and facilities for production. The program equips craftsmen and women with modern skills and prepares them to represent the state of Qatar in international exhibitions, cultural festivals and events, promoting the long chequered Qatari heritage.
