About Us

The Social Development Center is a nonprofit social and developmental organization established in 1996 under the high patronage of H.H. Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser Al-Missned, the Consort of H.H. the Emir.

Objectives

1. Enhance the role of the family in society and maintain its solidarity and its financial and social stability.
2. Upraise the financial level of low-income families and provide work opportunities though productive projects.
3. Surveillance of various social phenomena, conducting relevant scientific research, recommending the appropriate solutions and participating with decision makers in solving such issues.
4. To prepare members of the society to cope with changes brought by globalization.
5. To maintain the traditional heritage, revive and develop handicrafts.
